1941 (Sept. 1st) George King cover for the 1st war-time cover between England and Northern Ireland, flying from Liverpool to Belfast. An airmail fee of 3d was charged for this service.
Although not intended for the acceleration of mail between Scotland and Northern Ireland, King apparently sent this cover from Belfast for the Postmaster at Glasgow for inclusion on the service back to Belfast. A manuscript note confirming this has been partly covered by the censor's label applied in Liverpool and written over as per regulations.
An extremely rare acceptance for this service.
